Dear Artimus, I cant explain the respect I have for you. You are an extremely talented, yet seeminingly hummble southern artist. I love to hear you talk about your experiences with Ronnie and Steve, and the early years of the band. It seems as though you have the highest regard for your fallen friends. It's thanks to wonderful people like yourself that keep the past very much-so alive for the younger generation of southern artists like myself. Thank you very much for that!
-sincerely, Ricky Meadows

John Feeser: Artimus, Remember me?
Artimus, sitting her in my bicycle shop telling my young mechanic about how I sold your boy bicycles when you lived near Spartanburg....remember the Great Excape on Church St.? As times rolls along, we all cherish those memories, saw the pic of your grandson....hope all is well, and good luck with the band. If you are ever in Beaufort, SC, stop in Lowcountry Bicycles and say hello. John

Rhonda: We had fun
Just wanted to say hello to Artimus. It's been years since we've talked and you probably don't even remember me, but we played together in Chad's Ford PA, then the next day at Uncle Bobs Farm. I was the tall dark haired, brown eyed gal. Sang backups with you and Charlie Hargrett. What a weekend! I was one of the "good girls". Went to bed early, stayed sober, didn't do drugs, yada yada... I still have the picture of you and I on my profile at Myspace. You know my friend Mark Wells, Clark, and a couple others from Rising Sun, MD. ANyway, congrats on the continued success of your music. I always smile whenever I hear it. You were very nice to me and I thank you sincerely.
Peace my friend,
Rhonda

We are planning to ride the Poker Run on 8/21 just to see you guys play. I am going to bring the picture with me and hopefully will be able to have you sign it-

Joshua: Eastern LI
Hello, for several years I used to see your tour bus parked about 2 miles away from my home in the woods of Eastern LI. I always wondered if you were nearby but of course respect your privacy first. Great interview on Howard Stern. If you're ever back in town, let me buy you a beer at "the Maples"

Gary and Cindy Sitka: songwriter
Artimus,
My mother and I saw you down at Lake Eola in Orlando, Fla., in the early 2000's. You had done a gig for The Mental Health Association. What an awesome show that was.
Before the concert my mom said, "Do you happen to know who the Artimus Pyle Band is?" And I replied, "Artimus was the ex-drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd back in the 70's. Why?" To which she replied, "Well, he's playing down at Lake Eola." I thought, "Yeah, okay. She's playing a prank on me. I'll play along.
Anyways, as we were driving to the water-side amphitheatre, I said, "I bet they won't play any old Skynyrd tunes?" Boy, was I wrong! And not only did you play them to the t (the lead singer almost sounded a lot like Ronny) but you played SRV, and a few other bands.
In closing, you are an excellent musician and humanitarian. Congrats on being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, and hopefully someday you'll see my name on record labels as the songwriter.
Musically yours,
Gary Christopher Sitka
